The principle first

This website runs on WordPress. It therefore has a database and server-side code, unlike a purely static site. What it does not have is anything that observes you: no analytics, no tracking pixels, no advertising, no social media plugins, and no cookies of our own.

You can use this site in full without a profile being built about you. No consent banner is shown, because there is nothing to consent to.

Server log files

Like every web server, this one records which file was requested and when. The following is logged: shortened IP address, date and time, the file requested, the amount of data transferred, the referring address, and browser and operating system identifiers.

This information is technically necessary to deliver the site and helps us detect faults and attacks. It is not combined with other data and is not attributed to any individual.

The legal basis is the legitimate interest in secure and functional operation (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). Logs are deleted after seven days at the latest.

The server is operated by Hetzner Online GmbH, Industriestrasse 25, 91710 Gunzenhausen, Germany.

No cookies, no analytics, no tracking

This website sets no cookies — neither its own nor third-party ones. No analytics service is used, in particular no Google Analytics, no Matomo and no counting pixels. Nothing is stored in your browser.

Fonts

The typeface used, Raleway, is served from this server. There is no connection to Google Fonts; your IP address is not transmitted there.

Contact form

The form on the contact page sends nothing to this website. It opens your own email programme and enters the details you typed into a new message. Whether you send that message is entirely your decision.

Only when you send it do your details reach us — by the same route as any other email. We use them solely to answer your enquiry and keep them for as long as the matter requires.

Videos from YouTube and Vimeo

The video page embeds films hosted on YouTube and Vimeo. When you open the page, no connection to either service is made — you first see only a preview image served from this server.

Only when you click a video does your browser load the player from YouTube or Vimeo. From that moment the provider receives your IP address and can, if you are logged in there, associate the view with your account. We have no influence over this.

The providers are Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland, and Vimeo.com Inc., 330 West 34th Street, New York, NY 10001, USA. Details can be found in their respective privacy policies.

Encryption

The connection to this website is encrypted with TLS throughout, recognisable by the padlock in your browser's address bar. Requests via http:// are redirected automatically to https://.

Your rights

You have the right to obtain information about the data stored about you, to have it corrected or deleted, to restrict its processing, to object to processing, and to data portability.

Please write to the address given above. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection authority — in Spain with the Agencia Española de Protección de Datos (AEPD), otherwise with the supervisory authority of your country of residence.
